Sustainability at ConSet – Designed for a Lower Footprint
At ConSet, sustainability is more than a goal—it’s a guiding principle. We take climate action seriously and have built a business model
focused on reducing environmental impact across every stage of a product’s life cycle, from design and manufacturing to use and disposal.
CO₂e Emissions – Transparency Built In
We provide full CO₂e emission data for every ConSet product on our website. This figure represents the total greenhouse gas emissions associated with the product—from raw materials and manufacturing, to packaging, transportation, use, and end-of-life disposal.
You’ll find the emission number on each product page, next to a cloud-shaped icon marked “CO₂e” with the emission value in kilograms (kg). This gives you a clear, fast way to understand the product’s environmental impact and make more sustainable purchasing decisions. Our calculations are based on trusted Danish tools like Klimakompasset (Climate Compass) and Bæredygtig Bundlinje (Sustainable Bottom Line).
Life Cycle Assessment – A Smarter Way to Design
To make informed sustainability choices, we’ve completed a full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for our desks. Conducted by an external consultant and critically reviewed by TÜV, the LCA follows international standards (EN14040, EN14044, EN14071). It identifies where we can reduce CO₂e emissions—without compromising quality or reliability.

Environmental Responsibility – Safe Materials
While we primarily design and distribute finished products, our suppliers are held to high environmental and ethical standards. ConSet is committed to ensuring that everything we produce aligns with modern sustainability values—from responsible sourcing to safe disposal.
Responsible Material Use
All ConSet products are free from harmful substances such as:
• Formaldehyde (beyond strict EU thresholds)
• Lead, mercury, cadmium
• Hexavalent chromium
• Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
• Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)
All wood used in ConSet tabletops complies with the strict E1 formaldehyde emission standard, supporting healthier indoor air quality.
In fact, most of our tabletops meet the even stricter E0 standard.
Want to know which standard your product meets? Contact the conset team - we're happy to provide the details.
Electronics & Compliance
All electrical components—such as user panels and transformers—meet the RoHS directive, meaning they’re manufactured without hazardous materials that could impact users or the environment.
End-of-Life: WEEE Compliance
We encourage customers to disassemble desks for proper disposal. ConSet products comply with the WEEE directive, and all relevant parts are clearly marked for electronic waste collection and recycling.
